ESPN Radio reported this morning that TCU’s 13-0 record marked “only the eighth time a team has gone undefeated and not won the BCS title.”
ESPN, the broadcast rights holder to the BCS, failed to report the BCS has only been around since 1998.
That’s eight times in 14 years a team has gone undefeated and not had a shot at the national title. That’s selective reporting, giving the consumer only enough information to further your own cause, not the consumers’ cause.
